日月潭 is a big lake which scenery is just so breath taking. There is a cable car built from the lake over to 九族文化村. Cost of cable car + ferry ride is NT$150, bought together with 九族文化村 entrance ticket at 美真舘. The ferry will bring you to several ports around lake. Each port has its unique beauty. There is a famous 茶叶蛋 stall at one of the port. This cable car ride will show you a good view of the lake from the top. This ride is recommended, you can explore the whole area well.
九族文化村 is actually a theme park which has the theme of the nine aborigines. Entrance ticket cost NT$550 (bought from 美真舘 which 魏先生 recommend). It’s a theme park like Sunway Lagoon with exciting and fun rides, beautiful park and miniature village of the different aborigines. It also has cultural show performed by the aborigines. However, it is Not a recommended place to go if you don’t have time to spend the whole day there. You won’t be able to understand all nine aborigines in just a few hours walk in the park and the cultural show was boring.

There is the park operating time, cable car operating time and ferry schedule. We miss out the famous 茶叶蛋 because we were on the last ferry back to port. They don't allow us to swim in the lake :(
We stop by at 埔里 for 18°C homemade chocolate. They sell very dark chocolates; I bought one box of 30 pieces which cost NT$450. Very fine and good chocolate but not recommended to buy back to Malaysia because it needs to be kept cold all the time. They are also selling ice cream. One cup with two scoop is NT$80. Chocolate flavour 超赞！
It’s about night fall when we head up hill to 清境。清境 is a hilly area with farms and sheep. The sky is already dark when we reach the hotel 峰情。As it is a highland, temperature is a bit low there, approximately 15°C.
Not to waste any time, we ate our dinner provided by the hotel and head to 瑞士花园。Entrance fee is NT$90 for Youth card holder. There is magical fountain show at certain timings. There are geese and ducks swimming in the lake. It’s only a small park which you will feel bored in less than one hour.
We booked two rooms at 清境峰情。One room with 3 pax, another room with 12 pax =.=|| It’s like a combination of a hotel and dorm. There is a living room with TV and sofa. Upstairs, the mattress are aligned side by side in a row. That night, those that slept with WeiTung have difficulty sleeping due to his thunderous snore. Tips: This room is not suitable for those that has loud snore in their sleep.
